The Doughie proofing basket, also called a banneton, is made from 100% natural reed\/rattan<\/strong> and is Splinter-free!<\/strong> The proofing basket is the perfect bed for your bread to rest in during rising. The dough cloth<\/strong> Allows air in from the outside but prevents drying out during rising. When using the dough cloth in the basket, you get a smooth and even loaf. Always flour the cloth well beforehand!<\/span><\/p>

Are you going for a spiral pattern on your bread? Then omit the dough cloth during rising and place your loaf directly in the floured proofing basket.<\/span><\/p>
